Biblical counseling is built on a simple enduring principle:  the triune God has spoken to us through the Scriptures (Ed Welch).  God has revealed to us everything we need to know about Him, about ourselves, and about the world around us (2 Peter 1:3).  God has given us everything we need to deal with all life problems.  Biblical counseling uses God's Word, by the Holy Spirit, to help change desires, behaviors, and thinking to live a life that is pleasing and glorifying to God
