We read today in Hebrews 9 of the redemption that is found by the shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ. The high priest would enter once a year to the most holy place and not without blood, to offer to God upon the mercy seat. It was here that the forgiveness of sins would be granted. For in the place of the priest and people, a death had been made; judgment for sins had been poured out. But when Jesus came and offered Himself upon the altar, it was not done repeatedly but once for all. He will come again. But when He comes again, it will not be to offer Himself for sin (He already did that), but it will be to “save those who are eagerly waiting for Him.” Thus the follower of Christ, who has sin forgiven says, "Even so come quickly, Lord!"
